Can’t begin to tell you how please we are to have met you and had you represent us in our search for a new home! We are from out of state and were doing research on the Myrtle Beach area when we came across your agency. Our initial contact with you was via e-mail. Our time to visit possible houses was limited. We flew down to MB early on a Saturday morning. You met with us and showed us six properties we had seen on line. When none of those seemed to be what we were looking for, you made some other suggestions. We finally settled on a piece of property and a floor plan to have a new home built. We flew back to NY the next day and continued to communicate with you by phone & e-mail. That was in November. You presented our purchase offer and let us know that it had been accepted. We requested several changes in the house plans. You presented them to the property owners/builders. You hooked us up with a banker & lawyer. The house was built and we returned to MB in January to close on the house. Three months later you are still there for us…..checking to see that we are still pleased with our purchase. You are knowledgeable and professional. We were always able to contact you and you always returned our calls & email promptly. I have spent most of my 42 years vacationing in Myrtle Beach. When my husband and I got married, we began vacationing together and eventually sharing our love for the beach with our daughter. She has spent every summer vacation with us at the beach.

It seemed a natural progression to begin looking for our own home away from home at the beach. We began what we were sure was going to be a daunting task, by researching real estate web sites. We happened on Juliann’s website quite by accident…..we will be forever thankful for such a wonderful “accident”! The website was so easy to navigate and before we knew it, we had so many homes to choose from. We sent an email inquiring about a few of the homes. Now, to backtrack a moment…..when we purchased our primary residence here in Virginia, it took a few weeks for a response. Can you imagine our surprise when we received a reply within 24 hours? (Yes, you read that correctly?). 24 hours. Wow.

Juliann asked us for a complete list of homes we were interested in, along with a price point and features. We are quite certain when we emailed her a total of almost 40 houses! What can we say? So many to choose from! Within one week, Juliann had organized the homes by location, ascending in price, pictures included! My husband will tell you I am extremely OCD…..Juliann made it so easy for me. I printed each home, including the information sheets and photos, then organized my own “book” according to locations. As homes sold (move quickly! They sell very fast!) I could remove them from my book.

We arranged a trip to the beach in November, 2010. We decided to take our daughter with us to join in our quest for the perfect home. Juliann had each day arranged by area which really helped…..it can be overwhelming looking at too many in one day. We decided to meet the first day and travel towards Pawley’s Island. From the moment we first met her, Juliann seemed as if she had been a family friend for years. We shared stories of the beach, our families, photos….she is such a warm person. Our time searching for a home became such a joy instead of that daunting experience.

On our third day, we began searching North Myrtle Beach. Juliann knew that we wanted a nice, safe neighborhood where our daughter could travel to the pool or beach alone. Little sneak saved the best for last! We fell in love with Barefoot Resort….the neighborhoods, pools, fitness center…..it was beautiful. We called her that evening and signed the contract. Juliann even came with us on Sunday to do a walk through.

After we closed, we wanted to paint…..brand new home, white walls! She helped us find a fabulous contractor, landscaper, gave us telephone numbers for cable, electricity. Did we say easy? When we were trying to pick out colors, countertops, my first emails and calls were to Juliann….she was a huge help!

Juliann has become someone we are so very happy to call “friend”. We still keep in touch, and plan to visit her often. We believe that all things happen for a reason….we were meant to find Juliann, and we are grateful every day that we found her.

Juliann DeForrest is a very good real estate agent. I am 65 and wanted to buy a Condominium at a good price. I have bought and sold 14 or so properties and have seen some good agents and some terrible agents. A good agent listens to what you want and helps you find and then close on that property. When you have to find the property yourself and do much of the leg work yourself that's not a good agent. Juliann helps us not only find but helped us structure a deal and then negotiate the price where we needed to be to get a closing that worked for us.
